Africa is continually called a dying continent, a dark continent, a corrupt continent.
The chaos of Africa demands leadership that can see beyond
the now into a preferred future that has the courage to inspire
a new generation to strive for change
Change is needed and Time is NOW!
Youth on Mission is one of the most recent departments of African
Global Mission. Since its inception, AGM has been committed to raising
quality leaders as its primary focus. The department of Young Missionaries
was started to address the need to train a new generation of leaders.
The proliferation of wars, oppression, ethnic conflicts, and abuse
of power, devastation of economic resources and human potential, and political
corruption are some of the manifestations of the defective leadership in
Africa.
“What happened
in 1994 when the Rwandan Government and Hutu extremists spent money and
time training young person “Militias” to kill their neighbors is a true
picture of lack and poor leadership. These young people could have been
taught to love and protect their fellow country mates” says Dr. Brigitte
Kitenge.
The church is the only environment in which truth is taught. “My people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge Hosea 4:6”
